Requiring continuous exposure to direct sunlight, this tracking system needs
a robust controller able to operate 24/7 in extreme temperatures. Therefore,
due to its fanless design with no moving parts, the PEC-3240 is well suited
to serve this market. Moreover,with onboard 4-axis motion control functions,
it can easily adjust the solar panels to the correct angle and direction of the
strongest sunlight.
Environmental and technological changes meant that new low power, anti-
interference, compact devices, including high-speed digital-to-analog converters
with a high degree of identification and sensitivity for data acquisition were
required for this dynamic weighing system project.
The PEC-3710 would use solar cells as its power source; therefore it needed
to be capable of running on low power, whilst being robust and reliable enough
to continue working in all weather conditions. What’s more, its anti-vibration
capabilities allow the PEC-3710 to withstand vibration and noise interference
during the verification processes when trucks pass.

Compact Size
The PEC-series (255 x 152 x 59 mm) is 1/8 the size of standard
industrial computers, even with built-in motion control, analog I/O and
digital I/O functionalities, greatly saving space and development time.
Robust Design
Fanless, no internal cables, and diskless mechanisms allow the
PEC-3240 to operate under temperatures of -10 ~ 65°C (14 ~ 149°F)
while the PEC-3710 can operate under temperatures of -10 ~ 60°C
(14 ~ 140°F) without any issues.
Advanced Control Capabilities
To meet different demands for industrial automation, PEC-3240 provides
a variety of motion control functions while PEC-3710 provides multiple
I/O and communication interfaces.
PEC-3240 and PEC-3710 both feature two USB ports, two COM
(RS-232) ports, two 10/100 Base-T LAN ports, and two CompactFlash
slots. These interfaces provide the capability to easily expand peripheral
devices and modules.
